CAP MALHEUREUX
Situated at the extreme north of the island, 3 km from Péreybère, and 90 minutes drive from the airport, Cap Malheureux is a quiet residential area with a lovely white powdery beach stretching over several Km alongside a picturesque turquoise lagoon with the northern offshore islands in the background.
There is no hotel nearby, but a few large secondary houses, luxuriously furnished and decorated, are set right on the beach and secured from the coast road by high walls. A few small grocery shops and fresh vegetable stalls are scattered along the coastal road leading to Péreybère and Grand Bay, while reaching Grand Bay, only 10 minutes drive away, several well-stocked supermarkets and a fantastic choice of night clubs, bars and restaurants are available. All resorts close to Grand Bay benefit from all the activities available there. These include scuba diving, deep sea fishing, undersea walk, Blue Safari submarines...
