Only reservations for periods of 7 nights or more will be entertained.
Rates of our accommodations (villas, bungalows, apartments or studios) are always quoted in EUR (€) on a "per night basis", all taxes included, and may vary depending on the reservation period, the length of the stay, and the number of residents. Rates may change at any time without any prior notice. Payments may be made in EUR, MUR and AUD.
Reservations / Bookings
All requests for availability of any of our accommodation will be replied to within 12 hours, save and except in cases of “force majeure”. If the villa is available, MBB will immediately mention the rate for the villa, or suggest an alternative one, mentioning its rate and giving a link to open the villa's specific page where its photos and description are available. Usually a 7-day option will be offered (in a few cases, the villa owner may accept to give only 5-day option, in which case, the client must confirm before the option lapses). When the client confirms his booking, it implies acceptance of the terms of the booking conditions , and within another 3 days, send a copy of the bank document confirming the transfer of his deposit, generally corresponding to about 30% of the total amount of the booking. This deposit is non-refundable. In case a client pays only part of the requested deposit, MBB may accept to keep the booking standing provided that the total deposit be paid within a reasonable period of time. In case the client fails to pay the total deposit, even after repeated requests, payment of total deposit is not paid, MBB may cancel the booking. in all cases, the client will be deemed to have read and accepted the conditions therein, just as any client who would make a booking by telephone or by email. As soon as MBB receives the deposit, the reservation is considered confirmed and definite. The balance of the reservation will be expected to be settled at least 8 weeks prior to expected check-in date in the reserved property. In case these conditions are not complied with, the rules pertaining to cancellation will apply. There have been cases where a client may ask for a contract from MBB to be shown to the local authorities on arrival. MBB may send such a contract to the client, but MBB's email sent to the client prior to payment of deposit, showing the name of the client, the dates of his stay, the rate per night, the amount of the deposit (around 30% of total rent), and the amount due, already stands as a contract.
The price is guaranteed if the rent is paid in full at reservation, except in case of applicable tax increases or new taxes imposed by the local authority in Mauritius.
MBB will accept payments in EUR (€), MUR (Mauritian Rupees) or AUD (A$) by bank transfer to either of its accounts, listed below:-

Payments by credit cards are not accepted by MBB.
Cancellation / Alteration
The client may cancel a confirmed booking at any time, but penalties will apply as follows:
Cancellations may be made by the same person who confirmed the booking. It may be in the form of an email or by telephone, but MBB may insist that information concerning the payment be given in order to confirm genuineness of the cancellation.
If any request is made for amendment to a confirmed booking, MBB will use its best endeavours to comply with it. In case the amendment is accepted, a fee of 15€ per person is chargeable.
MBB recommends all his clients to take a travel insurance to cover the risk of cancellation charges.
General check-in time is 2.00 pm (14h00), and Check-out time is 10.00 am (10h00) unless stated otherwise for a specific beach house. MBB will try its best to provide accommodation earlier in the case of arrival of early flights, and until later in the case of late departing flights, but cannot guarantee it, as cleaners may be preparing the property for in-coming guests. MBB would greatly appreciate clients’ co-operation in complying with the above.
If the client wishes to have guaranteed earlier access to the reserved accommodation, he must book the previous night to avoid disappointment and/or inconvenience. In case of late departures, we recommend that a late departure fee be agreed whenever possible, again to avoid any disappointment.
The client undertakes to behave in an orderly manner and not to disrupt the enjoyment of other clients or in any way harm the reputation of MBB. The client is responsible for the behaviour of any visitors to the accommodation during the whole of the rental period.
MBB has had problems in the past when clients received visits from people living locally who came in large numbers, and were very noisy, causing disturbance to other persons living close by. Such visits are strongly discouraged, and any client in breach of this clause will have his rental terminated forthwith, and MBB shall have no further contractual obligations towards him or her.
MBB strongly suggests that clients should note that the accommodation provided is for the sole use of the clients own group, subletting or sharing is not being accepted.
If a client is not satisfied, and has "bona fide" and founded grounds for complaining, he should contact the MBB local representative as soon as possible for immediate action.
Damages and breakages will be charged to clients, and payment must be paid before vacating the property. In some cases a deposit of 20% of the rental must be paid, and this may be held by MBB to compensate for the damages.
Airport transfers by minibus or taxi that MBB recommends at the request of its clients is an independent service that is not under the aegis of MBB. Taxi or minibus drivers that we recommend are responsible people that we know personally, and with whom we have already been working for some time. They know the exact location of all our villas, and using their service will save you a lot of hassles, as some villas are very difficult to locate due to missing indications on some of our roads close to the beaches. However, clients using that service do so at their own risk in as much as MBB is not privy to the contract between the client and independent contractor providing the transfer.
Activities that MBB recommends at the request of its clients are all independent services that are not under the aegis of MBB. All activities that are described on our website are being offered by independant operators with whom we have been working for some time.
MBB acts solely as an intermediary between the client and the different owners of all beach houses (villas, bungalows, apartments or studios) that are proposed by MBB through its website, www..mauritiusbeachbungalows.com.
