Overview

•  Casanou is a family property, set on the most sought-after beach of Trou aux Biches, and consisting of 6 individual and separate units:-

•  Cyrano and Flore, 2 separate semi-detached duplexes, and Gerbera, Coriana, Manglier and Mistral, 4 apartments overlooking the sea.

•  Cyrano and Flore, sightly recessed with regard to the front building of 4 apartments, have a front lawn sloping down to the beach.

•  Cyrano has 3 air-conditioned bedrooms upstairs; downstairs, a shaded terrace with sea view, a lounge/dining, a guest toilet and a kitchen.

•  Lovely wide beach of powdery white sand inviting to lazing and bathing in the sun, and the children to build sand castles.

•  The lagoon, being well-protected by the barrier reef, is very safe - even for children - for swimming and snorkelling.

•  75 minutes drive from the airport.

Living area

•  The renovated terrace has been extended with hard wood flooring, and fitted with bamboo blinds for protection from the sun.

•  The terrace with full sea viewoverlooks the lawn, sloping down to the beach.

•  Newly renovated lounge and dining room (2010). New furniture and lighting fixtures.

•  Tastefully decorated lounge with ceiling fan, new L-shaped sofa unit and a new wide flat-screen TV.

•  New dark wood dining furniture (sitting 6).

•  The open-plan kitchen with new equipment is separated from the dining room by a breakfast bar with new light fixtures and bar stools.

•  A guest toilet completes the ground floor.

Bedrooms

•  All 3 bedrooms are upstairs and air-conditioned.

•  The master bedroom (double bed) with sea view and en suite bathroom (with shower unit) and toilet.

•  An extra folding couch in the master bedroom is also available for one or two young children.

•  The two single beds in the 2nd bedroom may be set close to each other, and used as a double bed.

•  The 3rd bedroom, although being air-conditioned, has a ceiling fan and a king-size bed (2 metre wide).

•  The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms share a further bathroom with (shower unit) and toilet.

Equipment

•  New gas/electric cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave ,new coffee makre (Senseo type), toaster, kettle & washing machine.

•  Telephone, and DVD player.

•  TV with Satellite channels (Canal-sat) featuring programmes in French with international news in English, German, Italian,& Spanish.

•  Hair dryer and a safe in the master bedroom. Iron and ironing board. A small portable barbecue for outside use.

•  The bungalow is protected by a monitored electronic burglar alarm including immediate guard response.

Staff

•  3-hour morning maid service daily, except on Sundays and Public holidays.

•  Cooking at extra charge (4€ / hr) after direct arrangements with the maid.

•  The gardener takes care of the garden and lawn.

•  Free internet ADSL connection (Wi-Fi) available. The password will be given to you on arrival.

•  A kayak is available on demand - free of charge - provided the guests accept responsibility for its use.

•  A gated and tiled parking area isavailable for residents of theproperty.

•  PARKING SPACE FOR ONLY ONE CAR IS ALLOTTED TO EACH UNIT.

•  Activities available nearby: Glass bottom boat, wind surf, kite surf, towed inflatable buoys, parasailing and flying ultra light aircrafts.

•  Well-stocked supermarket at 30 metres. Chemist (pharmacy) and restaurants offering various cuisines are at walking distances.

•  10 minutes drive to Club Med (Le Club Méditerranée) in Pointe aux Canonniers.

•  20 minutes drive to Grand’Baie, where interesting Duty-Free shopping is available at Sunset Boulevard.

•  Other facilities in Grand Bay include Super U Supermarket, several bars, restaurants and discotheques.

•  The Trou aux Biches Casino, about 600 metres away, will not be in operation until the renovation of Trou aux Biches Hotel is fully completed.

•  ATM service is300 metres away.

•  Bed linen and bathroom towels provided.

•  International telephone calls available through Skype over the internet.
